Call me “Chef”: Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo + Sunday lunch

Last week my dinner plans fell through the cracks a little so I improvised with Sunday lunch! I cooked dinner on Tuesday and I was surprised that it went well. I had a pretty busy and stressful week so cooking was the last thing on my mind, but I still found time to try a new recipe. As you can tell by the title, this weeks main dish was Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, which was pretty good! I am starting to feel more comfortable in the kitchen but I still panic a lot, I can multitask anywhere but in the kitchen. The shrimp recipe was super easy, I didn’t make my own sauce so it was pretty much just noodles, shrimp and seasoning. Fool Proof (aka, Sam proof)! I had cheese buns on the side and added broccoli to give the dish some colour. One thing I would have changed is use small shrimps, I grabbed GIANT shrimp and it was too much. So remember for next time, less shrimp, more sauce and more vegetables. I would give this a 7 out of 10.

For lunch, I made rice with meatballs and organic tomato sauce with mozzarella cheese. Very simple and easy but really good for lunch. I am working out a lot so carbs don’t scare me since my body will use it for energy and fuel anyways. This was very simple, I am hoping to attempt to make my own lean turkey meatballs in the future!

This was a very short blog, but I wanted to update everyone on my experience this week. Cooking is another thing I am going to have to fit into my schedule, but I am excited to try new recipes this week sometime!
